EXHIBIT WITH THE BROOKLYN URBAN GARDEN SCHOOL

June 3 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

Throughout Francesco Simeti’s exhibit, Swell, at Open Source, the artist will be collaborating with children from the Brooklyn Urban Garden School to create an exhibit that will be exhibited at the Gowanus Canal Conservancy alongside artifacts and research from the history of the Gowanus Canal.

Projects included in the exhibit will be inspired by themes and process in Swell. Children will utilize research and collage to create projects that explore the history of their surroundings and human impact on the environment. Projects will include collage of flora and fauna from the history of the canal, and explore ideas about the past, present and future of Brooklyn.

The opening reception for this exhibit will be held on June 3, 2017 at 4:00pm at the Gowanus Canal Conservancy.
