This year’s Derby was a creative family affair!

Special thank you to our judges City Council Member Alexa Aviles, Artist sTo, LEAP Executive Director Richard Souto, and Craig Diamond of Interstate Plywood and our emcees Lily White and Sam Lazar for their hard work this year!

Thank you so much to those of you in our community who showed up and showed out to make our Derby the special event that it was- from spectators, participants to staff and volunteers! Big shout out as well to our friends over at Marketplace on 5th Avenue for keeping us all fed and hydrated!

Congratulations to our raffle winners who will enjoy a pound of coffee and a gift certificate from CITIOT, ice cream from Uncle Louie G’s Prospect Park Southwest location, tickets to an NYCFC soccer match, $50, $75 and $100 gift certificates to Marketplace on 5th Avenue and a $100 KoKo NYC gift certificate!

And finally, here’s the answer to the KoKo NYC trivia question: we used almost 34,000 screws in our Summer 2023 Soap Box workshops!
